Problems encountered in printing quality due to paper expansion shrink so do

Since the water absorption characteristics of the paper fibers, paper has some swelling and shrinkage (expansion along the paper fiber length direction shrink obvious, shrink swollen fiber diameter along the direction of the paper more obvious). Because of the role of offset printing fountain solution, printing process paper fibers tend to absorb moisture and swell due; gravure reasons due to hot air drying, the printing process the paper fibers tend to shrink due to water loss; even by UV cold light drying flexo, due to changes in temperature and humidity, the printing process will change the paper fibers; plus factor of the device itself can also affect product overlay error trapping.

Paper swelling within reasonable limits reduction in the printing process generally does not cause quality problems, but if the swelling shrinkage is too large, it will cause misregister printing, hot stamping embossing deviation, die-cutting issues and other adverse deviation. Expansion contraction issues in response to the paper, printing enterprises should mainly be controlled in two ways:

Hollow volume (1) experienced process engineers tend to shrink depending on the paper swell law, at the time of prepress graphic by adjusting the amount of bleeding, amount of overlap or graphic proper scaling to offset the contraction produced paper Expansion adverse effects.

(2) strict control of temperature and humidity workshop for finished products wrapped correct shrink film for protection, speed up the transfer speed between the various processes, shorten storage time semi-finished products.
